Howard Rubin, APRN
Howard has worked in the field of psychiatric nursing since 1974, when he first completed his R.N. degree at Tallahassee Community College. He has worked with a broad variety of populations, including adults, children, adolescents, geriatric and forensic patients. Howard completed his graduate degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2007, and has been working as a board certified ARNP since that time. He retired from Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia in 2010, and more recently retired from Florida State University (FSU), where he worked in the psychiatry department of the student health center.
Howard has been a clinical instructor for nursing students at FSU and has provided pharmacology lectures for both the FSU school of nursing and the FSU psychology clinic. He enjoys working with a variety of patients, but has a particular interest in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD. He is a member of both the American and Florida Nursing Associations. He believes strongly that everyone has the potential to achieve recovery.
